The overwhelming defeat of Bill C-384 proved that we can Push-Back the euthanasia lobby in the US and Canada and convince people that euthanasia and assisted suicide are a dangerous public policy. DeleteAre you having computer problems at you website Fr. Tim?
What's going on?
I agree that he would not be subject to automatic excommunication (which ought to be done away with forthwith). If he refused to be celibate, did not recite the breviary etc..the lack of celibacy would be a sin and subject to the confessional.Like you, I find it strange that he is required to pray the daily office..this is new to me.That he retains the mark of priesthood is not a problem and he woud be required to hear a confession in danger of death etc. This is a very sad case and is not new to the church and no doubt more alarming stories will emerge. One hopes he would pray and fast for his past and for his former confreres. And we mjust pray for him.
