Evangelizing Through the Good | Word On Fire

Moral rectitude, the concrete living out of the Christian way, especially when it is done in an heroic manner, can move even the most hardened unbeliever to faith, and the truth of this principle has been proven again and again over the centuries. Evangelizing Through the Good | Word On Fire

Ohio LGBT Group Announces Plans to Target Churches for Homosexual Weddings

So let me get this straight. If the KKK wanted to rent the facilities of a black Baptist Church to hold recruitment meetings, the Church would be obliged to rent it to them? I would think such a request would be met quite appropriately with outrage by Ohio legislators... and rightly so. So how is this situation materially different from a Christian community refusing to rent its facilities for an activity that fundamentally contradicts its beliefs? It might seem like an odd analogy to use to illustrate my point, but I think it is perfectly apt. The KKK is a legal organization permitted to hold recruitment meetings just as an LGBT group is legal and allowed to celebrate a marriage. So why would the former case be offensive to the point where a church would be protected from renting its facilities while the church would be forced to do it?  Ohio LGBT Group Announces Plans to Target Churches for Homosexual Weddings - The Aquila Report

A St. Patrick's Day gift from a beautiful Irish lady

Sylvia MacEacheran of 'Sylvia's Site' is a woman who has dedicated her free time to shedding the antiseptic light of truth on the sordid accounts of child sexual abuse within the Catholic Church and standing in support of its many victims. She is also a daughter of that beautiful green Island we celebrate today on St. Patrick's Day, a place that animates her soul with the determination and poetry we associate with that fair Isle. Here below is what she offered today on her site that demonstrates the beauty of her Irish Catholic soul. May you find it as comforting and inspiring as I do. http://www.andiesisle.com/an.irish.blessing.html Thank you, Sylvia for your work on behalf of the wounded, for your efforts to promote the purification of the Church you love, and for the gentle steadfastness of your Irish soul. Happy St. Patrick's Day.

Imagine indeed!

Looking forward to seeing this movie this summer!

Senator breached ethics code over alleged sexual relationship with minor: ethics officer

Really? It took an ethics officer to come up with this conclusion? He admitted to the act! Isn't it self-evident that he has no place in the Senate? Just how low can politicians sink that it takes a declaration from an ethics office to decide that his man shouldn't continue to sit in the 'house of sober second thought'?  Senator breached ethics code over alleged sexual relationship with minor: ethics officer | CTV News

Hope in the Battle Against Euthanasia

Small but hopeful news from the euthanasia front here in Canada, which, as you may be aware, along with its no-holds-barred-free-for-all abortion policy (not unlike North Korea), as of last June now also has the unenviable distinction of becoming one of the few nations to universally legalize euthanasia.
