  1. *sigh* "If ya can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, baffle 'em with bullshit." I don't know who originated that quote, but the practice keeps popping up, especially when someone's sacred ox is about to be gored.

No. The ruling on Prop 8 will NOT criminalize Christianity. What it will do is make civilly unacceptable the practise of public discrimination against anyone becasue of their sexual identity or preference. In other words, it will turn the tables on those who are standing atop their little soapboxes, screaming themselves hoarse about the horrors of the "gay agenda" -- something they have yet to prove exists. Because they can't. Because it doesn't.

Catholic (and other) leaders will still be allowed to think that homosexuality is sinful and "harmful" (whatever they think that means). They simply will not be allowed to move against it en masse, either civilly or politically. They can wag their little fingers all they want, but they will not be allowed to enforce their disapproval on a world that does not agree with them.

Kinda like Jews can't enforce their religious laws against the eating of pork.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Venom is something that is oriented to death. Christians are oriented in a 180 degree different direction. We speak not to the culture of death  that grips our world but rather for the culture of life and light which ends with the gift of eternal life. For example, the Catholic Church in its hum...
