Reflections from the pastoral ministry of an Evangelical Catholic Priest.
Quite a discussion, and , from the point of view of the Priest-_Bishop relationship. Absent is any mention of the laity- who only represent 99% of the Catholic Church !
ReplyDeleteThen there is the case of a former Bishop of Pembroke Diocese who told the Priests of that Diocese to not be too concerned about him, since he was only passing through. And, he was right. In a very short time he was made Archbishop of Edmonton. Careerism- in the Catholic Church you say ?
dog-gone: You write

I guess I must have been absent from that meeting as I never heard anything even close to this coming from +Smith. In fact, what you proffer runs in the face of just about everything I ever heard from him during the time that he was our bishop. Are you certain of your facts or are you reporting something on the basis of hearsay? Just curious.
Fr. Tim
Yes, Father- I am certain. I got that info from Priests in the Pembroke Diocese.
