Blaze destroys iconic Ukrainian Catholic church in Brampton | Toronto Star

What seems strange about this fire is that it's the third Catholic Catholic Church damaged or destroyed in Brampton in the last two years. Earlier a Coptic/Orthodox Church was set ablaze when a Molotov cocktail was thrown through a window and a Roman Church was damaged with a pipe bomb. Now this one is burned to the ground yesterday.

Either Christian Churches are running into a terrible string of bad luck... or something more nefarious is happening in Brampton. Hopefully, if it's the latter, the police will soon be able to arrest the offender/s and bring this carnage to an end.

One thing I know for sure is that the insurance rates we have to pay on our buildings is about to skyrocket as all Catholic Churches in Ontario (and this little corner of Québec) are all covered under one co-op insurance plan.
