The need to maintain the existence of hell (as it’s obviously mentioned in Scripture) and a loving God generally, it's argued, is explained by free will.
ReplyDelete“For in fact love requires Hell since love first requires freedom.” But then it raises the questions "Do we have freedom in heaven? Do we have free will in heaven? Can we, like Satan, be thrown down to hell for disobedience or do only angels have free will in heaven but we will not?" Then why couldn’t “on earth, as it is in heaven” apply to this vale of tears rather than just the hereafter?
