Well, it's been a hell of a ride, laying rubber all over the road for the past decade. But it's time to call it a day and park the Rogue in the garage. Effective today, I am shutting down my blog to focus my attention on other endeavours. My thanks to the more than 2.7 million people who regularly joined me on these sojourns through news stories over the years that dealt with the places with issues of religion and faith intersecting with public affairs. All well and good but how many young Catholic women eschew the contemporary concepts of women's reproductive rights in favor of Human Vitae?
ReplyDeleteI don't know any. I don't know any Muslim women that do either. There is a closed community of very strictly orthodox Jews in the next town over. Some of them have very large families but not the majority. Maybe a third of them.
Long married Catholic couples around here tend to have 2-3 kids if they decide to have kids at all. Some don't. My wife and I have been married 30 years +, no kids by choice. Too late to have a go at it now, huh? We like it fine. We don't feel we have slighted Jesus in any way. Do you, Tim?
