Well, it's been a hell of a ride, laying rubber all over the road for the past decade. But it's time to call it a day and park the Rogue in the garage. Effective today, I am shutting down my blog to focus my attention on other endeavours. My thanks to the more than 2.7 million people who regularly joined me on these sojourns through news stories over the years that dealt with the places with issues of religion and faith intersecting with public affairs. Charles Colson was a religious bully who styled himself a minister of the Gospel, a thug in the Marine Corps, pretending to false patriotism and one of the worst criminals in the Nixon White house of the Watergate era. He is notorious and reviled by all but the most reactionary and repressive elements of society.

Anon: Actually, we believe in the power of conversion: 'metanoia'. Mr. Colson was an excellent example of that grace. You, on the other hand are offering the opposite grace with your comment: paranoia.
