Well, it's been a hell of a ride, laying rubber all over the road for the past decade. But it's time to call it a day and park the Rogue in the garage. Effective today, I am shutting down my blog to focus my attention on other endeavours. My thanks to the more than 2.7 million people who regularly joined me on these sojourns through news stories over the years that dealt with the places with issues of religion and faith intersecting with public affairs. May God bless you with a continuing desire to learn about and help disseminate the issues of faith throughout the public square. Happy trails in your continuing travels! Fr. Tim Moyle, p.p. Reflections from the pastoral ministry of an Evangelical Catholic Priest.
The Vatican will drop the charges and let the butler go free on the condition that he remain silent. Stopping further leaks about unethical and illegal financial activities on the part of high Vatican officials and getting the stories out of the media eye will be the top priority of the pope, his Cardinals and bishops, many of whom enrich themselves, family members and associates by purloining Church resources.
ReplyDeleteAnd you know this..how?
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think those leaks were about, Saturn? Why have the head of the Vatican Bank and a Sicilian Cardinal been removed this week? It's all been about theft, cronyism and corruption in the highest levels of Catholic Church.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that the pope's butler was the one leaking the documents containing such information proves at the very least that the pope knew of this state of affairs and let it continue. At worst, it indicates a whole different situation.
