The Church secured state funding for their schools on the basis that not to do so would be discriminatory toward them. If they in turn discriminate against students on the basis of sexual orientation or because students refuse to themselves discriminate against those of alternative sexual orientation, they will expose themselves as the very kind of people that they originally felt discriminated against them.
