The overwhelming defeat of Bill C-384 proved that we can Push-Back the euthanasia lobby in the US and Canada and convince people that euthanasia and assisted suicide are a dangerous public policy. Reflections from the pastoral ministry of an Evangelical Catholic Priest.
When did our choices get so skimpy and our lives so narrow? When did we lose the ability to be religious without blaring it to the world at the top of our voices? And when did one religion become the only religion...and its only alternative secular humanism -- and when did that become a bad thing?
ReplyDeleteSadly many Catholics have been poorly catechized (especially in the last 40 years) and are sifted like wheat when confronted about their faith. And sadly, theres no shortage of people out there with Catholicism in their cross hairs. Lewis is right, you can't defend your faith if you know little or nothing about it.
