B.C. bishop in hospital after attack at rectory - The Globe and Mail

  1. Fr. Tim,
This is so sad & so tragic what has happened in B.C.! The attack at the rectory.

I remember many decades ago, this St.Joseph nun who was helping people with drugs, alcohol & other problems they may have had.

She stated that the future you will see much more people with more mental health problems than ever before.

The drug scene & people losing direction in their lives. It's all about themselves, so much selfishness, so many children & young people not having stable homes. So much disrespect for life.

God is just not important, no place for God in their lives!

This attack reminds me how I am so quick to judge priests badly because of all the sex abuse scandals. I shouldn't be so quick to paint all the clergy with the same brush.

This made me realize to pray for all priests who are living in these difficult times & to pray especially for their their safety & good health.

All good things must come to an end

Well, it's been a hell of a ride, laying rubber all over the road for the past decade. But it's time to call it a day and park the Rogue in the garage. Effective today, I am shutting down my blog to focus my attention on other endeavours. My thanks to the more than 2.7 million people who regularly joined me on these sojourns through news stories over the years that dealt with the places with issues of religion and faith intersecting with public affairs. May God bless you with a continuing desire to learn about and help disseminate the issues of faith throughout the public square. Happy trails in your continuing travels! Fr. Tim Moyle, p.p.
