Well, it's been a hell of a ride, laying rubber all over the road for the past decade. But it's time to call it a day and park the Rogue in the garage. Effective today, I am shutting down my blog to focus my attention on other endeavours. My thanks to the more than 2.7 million people who regularly joined me on these sojourns through news stories over the years that dealt with the places with issues of religion and faith intersecting with public affairs. Why is the Church, or spokespersons claiming to speak on behalf of the Church, or whatever, worried about whether or not Catholics will be on the Editorial boards of newspapers?
ReplyDeleteIs it through newspapers they wish to Preach to All Nations?, By far the majority of people in the World do not get or read any newspaper.
Who are they really trying to influence- the wealthy- they do not read papers much. Or is the politician who , for the most part, scoffs at religion in any form or forum?
If Catholic Clergy would spend half as much time concerning themselves with their own flocks, preaching the Truth, and all of the Truth, giving the Holy Spirit the opening to Grace the flocks, good results would follow.
There were no Editorial Boards on the Mount of Olives, the Mount of the Beatitudes, or Calvary, and the messages of Truth got out loud and clear.
Jesus said to feed the Lambs, the Sheep, and that He would be with us.
It requires a Clergy which is willing to do what Jesus said and preach Him- THE WORD- not the fluff that way too many Clergy are handing the flocks, because they, the Clergy, do not, themselves , believe the WORD.
Please, any Clergy who read this blog, look in the mirror, and see that you are NOT God, you are only asked to speak His Word!

Prepare your own Homilies, do not get them off the Internet, and put the True Message in them.
Are you afraid to speak the TRUTH ?
