Well, it's been a hell of a ride, laying rubber all over the road for the past decade. But it's time to call it a day and park the Rogue in the garage. Effective today, I am shutting down my blog to focus my attention on other endeavours. My thanks to the more than 2.7 million people who regularly joined me on these sojourns through news stories over the years that dealt with the places with issues of religion and faith intersecting with public affairs. May God bless you with a continuing desire to learn about and help disseminate the issues of faith throughout the public square. Happy trails in your continuing travels! Fr. Tim Moyle, p.p. Have you read "Major Pettigrew's Last Stand" by Helen Simonson?
ReplyDeleteIt's not scientific or theological but was one of the best novels I've read in years and really uplifting.
Rationalist: Thanks for the book suggestion. I read it yesterday while sitting on my cottage deck enjoying a beautiful summer's day. It was the perfect book for the occasion! Much enjoyed!!

P.S. My T.V. here at the cottage was killed by a guest last week so I'm getting in more reading than expected this week... A pleasnat development imho.
My wife sent that book out to all her friends as Christmas presents last year.
DeleteI spent the weekend rescuing our garden from the weeds and managed it (for now). Now we have a nice bench under two apple trees to read.
Our TV is still an old CRT (bought for $20) with no converter or cable. Haven't watched it in weeks. It's wonderful.
