Well, it's been a hell of a ride, laying rubber all over the road for the past decade. But it's time to call it a day and park the Rogue in the garage. Effective today, I am shutting down my blog to focus my attention on other endeavours. My thanks to the more than 2.7 million people who regularly joined me on these sojourns through news stories over the years that dealt with the places with issues of religion and faith intersecting with public affairs. Probably one of the greatest Catholic preachers of our time. Sad to hear of these allegations against him. I'd caution anyone that would blindly defend him. He's a mere man like the rest of us and subject to the same temptations could fall into sin. I'll reserve judgement until the facts come out.

I find it very interesting that we publish the name of the accused , his supposed sins etc and not the name of the accuser...that strikes me as VERY unjust. It also seems strange that she did not "report" him at the time ...i hope this is not some type of revenge . Indeed we need to pray for all involved
