Well, it's been a hell of a ride, laying rubber all over the road for the past decade. But it's time to call it a day and park the Rogue in the garage. Effective today, I am shutting down my blog to focus my attention on other endeavours. My thanks to the more than 2.7 million people who regularly joined me on these sojourns through news stories over the years that dealt with the places with issues of religion and faith intersecting with public affairs. P.S. I post articles that might interest people on the subjects of faith. I do not necessarily agree with every article. I simply post something that I think needs to be brought into the light... sometimes for good... sometimes to expose the bad.

Larry: My best to Arden! I've almost finished my routine for Sunday and I am looking forward to spending some time at my cottage later today. I too went for a walk today... but it was to reduce my stress level after finding a flooded basement this morning. The sewer backed up... lot's of fun :(
ReplyDeletePerhaps I am dense, but I still didn't find the point that you are trying to make. What does the 'solution' part of your equation relate to? Are you asserting that religion itself leads to death? If you are speaking about organized religion, then you may be correct. Organized religions have often led to death when they become the ruling force in a society. Theocracies are never a good thing. History has proven this point beyond dispute. But if we look at religion as meaning 'faith', then I don't think that it leads to death.
Is this the point you're making? If it is, then we have no disagreement.
