Obama Administration Threatens Independence of Catholic Colleges

  1. Bottom line: if they accept any public monies at all, they are already not independent, so nothing is being threatened.

    If they want to keep their "pure" status, and become completely independent, they have to do one very simple thing -- forgo all public money. Keep their funding strictly private. And if they think they can't compete on that level, what does that tell them? Why should they have special status when no one else has it?
