Well, it's been a hell of a ride, laying rubber all over the road for the past decade. But it's time to call it a day and park the Rogue in the garage. Effective today, I am shutting down my blog to focus my attention on other endeavours. My thanks to the more than 2.7 million people who regularly joined me on these sojourns through news stories over the years that dealt with the places with issues of religion and faith intersecting with public affairs. May God bless you with a continuing desire to learn about and help disseminate the issues of faith throughout the public square. Happy trails in your continuing travels! Fr. Tim Moyle, p.p. Reflections from the pastoral ministry of an Evangelical Catholic Priest.
"In this week of 9/11, it's a good time to watch this video again. It certainly helps to express the task that we peacemakers have ahead of us"
ReplyDeleteAre these your own words Tim?
Larry: Yes.
ReplyDeleteFr. Tim
In what way does it express "the task" and who are " we the peacemakers?"
ReplyDeleteHow do "we peacemakers" plan to go about this " task?" Do you have a particular strategy in mind? Do you have a time frame to begin? What would peace look like? What would the indication to you that "the task" has been completed?
ReplyDeleteLarry:
ReplyDelete1. task: building the Kingdom
2. who are the peacemakers? everyone
3. how? living the gospel
4. what look like? New Jerusalem
5. when finished? When Jesus comes.
Fr. Tim
For a man who portrays himself to be so earthy, your list is anything but!
ReplyDelete1. Building God?
2. If "everyone" are the peacemakers, then why do "we peacemakers" need help expressing the "task" ahead of "us?"
3.Living the gospel which says "Hate Islam?"
4.How will you know the New Jerusalem if you see it?
5.You haven't heard? He already has!
