The overwhelming defeat of Bill C-384 proved that we can Push-Back the euthanasia lobby in the US and Canada and convince people that euthanasia and assisted suicide are a dangerous public policy. Reflections from the pastoral ministry of an Evangelical Catholic Priest.
"...when Judge Jean-Pierre Bessette throws out the ticket..."
ReplyDeleteDon't hold your breath on this. I don't think the judge is going to throw the case out.
The bylaw apparently specifically spells out the prohibited activities. And the judge may well ask her if she wanted to hold a mass, why did she not take it to a church in the first place?
I'm more interested in why I can't find this story anywhere except in Catholic publications. It appears nowhere in the mainstream news. Why is that?
Lady Janus: I agree with you regarding the probable outcome.
ReplyDeleteThe story has been covered in the National Post... not a Catholic media source last time I checked (grin).
Fr. Tim
Tim, it wasn't "covered" by NaPo; it was merely repeated. Where are the other sources?
