  1. Once again proving that there is essentially no difference between gays and straights when it comes to marriage and children.

  3. Isn't it strange how different people will look at the same story and come to different conclusions or have a different view. This is a sad situation for the child. An abnormal family situation has been created which might never be satisfactorily resolved. This is not how God intended families to be. The correct family unit is one husband and one wife, or at least if there is only one parent as in a single parent situation, then a father or a mother. But the situation described in this story obviously has led to conflict and it appears will not provide an emotionally stable and satisfying upbringing and life for the child. The confusion in many people's minds about this subject has helped to create this problem. Once again we need to get back to the Bible. The traditional family is one of the building blocks of a healthy society.

  4. Children are a gift from God...since they are not possessions how did the word "ownership" become part of this very sad story?

  5. Sadly nobody gave much thought to the welfare of children in this social experiment. What a mess for this poor child and many more like him.
Wayne is right. Venture from God's plan for human sexuality and all hell breaks loose.

  6. "Once again we need to get back to the Bible."

And once again, you need to realize that most of the people who live in this world do not recognize your bible as an authority of any kind.

Paul, this is not a social experiment. This is merely another case of a surrogate's changing her mind at the last moment. It has happened before, and it will happen again, unless a very tight contract is drawn up and signed by all parties beforehand. It has nothing to do with sexuality.

  7. Lady Janus

Gay marriage is the social experiment. Giving rights to two men or two women that have a sexual relationship to raise children that their relationship, by its very nature could never produce is an unprecedented social experiment.

  8. Paul, get a grip, willya? Men and women have been living in marriage relationships for thousands of years, and in some societies, quite openly, to the detriment of none. Children raised in such relationships are no different from children raised in other relationships; the precise same ratio of them have exactly the same "problems" as everyone else.

  9. Lady Janus has given me her personal assurance that everything is going to be just fine for the kids and has been for the thousands of years of gay marriage. Thats a relief.

    Cheers
    Paul
