  1. Squirrels are fascinating little animals. I've been "adopted" by a few of them at various points in my community -- they follow me, chasing off any competitors for the raw peanuts I carry. If they see me coming before I see them, they will call me to remind me that they want their treats. And I've got one of them at my apartment block searching diligently for the invisible peanut tree that's growing right next to my third-story window.

    And watching them interract with the crows is hilarious!
