Religious freedom, meaningless without truth

Religious freedom, meaningless without truth | Catholic Culture

  1. "no respect for religion when it comes to attempting to apply its values to the social order, making them relevant outside the walls of a church."

Why does freedom of religion exist only when religions can't impose their views on others? I don't want Baptists telling me I can't drink alcohol, I don't want Muslims telling me I can't eat ham and I don't want Catholics telling me I can't divorce.

I will defend all these religions right to have those positions within their religion, but object to it being applied to society as a whole.
