  1. Am I right in the Vatican condemning this war as not being a just war?

    1. Rationalist: The way I read it the answer is 'yes'. The Vatican would state that the Iraq war was indeed an 'unjust' war. IMHO, I would agree (my buddy's argument notwithstanding - sorry George.)

    2. Even though I've left the Church, I still am proud that The Catholic Church on the question of life offers a consistent stand. Let's hope the current pope can place more emphasis on the importance of life in matters of war. He's unpopular enough with some of the conservative elements, standing up against unjust wars isn't going to lose any more allies.

All good things must come to an end

Well, it's been a hell of a ride, laying rubber all over the road for the past decade. But it's time to call it a day and park the Rogue in the garage. Effective today, I am shutting down my blog to focus my attention on other endeavours. My thanks to the more than 2.7 million people who regularly joined me on these sojourns through news stories over the years that dealt with the places with issues of religion and faith intersecting with public affairs. May God bless you with a continuing desire to learn about and help disseminate the issues of faith throughout the public square. Happy trails in your continuing travels! Fr. Tim Moyle, p.p.
