The overwhelming defeat of Bill C-384 proved that we can Push-Back the euthanasia lobby in the US and Canada and convince people that euthanasia and assisted suicide are a dangerous public policy. Reflections from the pastoral ministry of an Evangelical Catholic Priest.
Actually in the report there were only 4 (not 7) allegations made by minors during the reporting period ( http://www.usccb.org/issues-and-action/child-and-youth-protection/upload/15-118-CYP-Annual-Report.pdf ). Overall credible allegations are up (see page 16) by 8%. While one hopes that children will report abuse so they can get help earlier the reality is often quite different. Progress has been made on clerical abuse but Mr. Donahue's attempt to downplay it by picking out one small aspect of the report shows that he is still unwilling to comes to terms with what is bankrupting hos Church, both financially and morally.
