Justin Trudeau clarifies that anti-abortion Liberal incumbents would be forced to vote pro-choice | National Post

Proof positive that NO CATHOLIC in good conscience should vote for such a leader. He cannot even keep his word to existing MP's. He lacks the moral character necessary to lead his party let alone our country. I sincerely FEAR what's coming our way if the Liberals return to power under his leadership today.

  1. Father Moyle, how is the cynical position of the current government, "we will let individual MPs think what they want but will make sure that the topic never comes to the fore" any better?
I'd rather say, deplorable as the whole issue is, that it simply is not one that can be tackled within parliament right now.

  2. Further to my previous comment:
    1. I think that parking one's vote with only one party is actually dangerous for the cause at hand because that party will take you for granted and then has no reason to act.
    2. And second, there are deep moral dimensions to most if not all aspects of politics. That the topic of abortion is the most important of these moral issues for you is a choice, probably a good one, but a choice nonetheless. Other people choose differently, I think.
P.S. I am not myself Catholic, but I hold the Catholic church and its teachings in high regard.
    With greetings from Manitoba!

All good things must come to an end

Well, it's been a hell of a ride, laying rubber all over the road for the past decade. But it's time to call it a day and park the Rogue in the garage. Effective today, I am shutting down my blog to focus my attention on other endeavours. My thanks to the more than 2.7 million people who regularly joined me on these sojourns through news stories over the years that dealt with the places with issues of religion and faith intersecting with public affairs. May God bless you with a continuing desire to learn about and help disseminate the issues of faith throughout the public square. Happy trails in your continuing travels! Fr. Tim Moyle, p.p.
