The overwhelming defeat of Bill C-384 proved that we can Push-Back the euthanasia lobby in the US and Canada and convince people that euthanasia and assisted suicide are a dangerous public policy. Reflections from the pastoral ministry of an Evangelical Catholic Priest.
Welcome back. Hope you had a good vacation and sorry to hear about your priest friend dying so unexpectedly.

Rationalist: BEST vacation I've ever had! Great resort (Jewel Resort:Runaway Bay), great friends, and super weather (although no snow would have sufficed to be 'good'... 80+ and sun every day was exceptional!)
ReplyDeleteThe only thing that made me sad was snorkeling along the reef. When I was there 10 years ago it was teeming with life and color. Now it's almost empty of fish and the coral is dead or dying. I wish the fools who deny the effects of climate change could have had the same experience. Maybe it would open their eyes!
Still, this one point did nothing to dampen my enthusiasm for the place. I'm going to start saving right away so maybe it won't so long before I get to return again.

Sounds great. My wife's American so we can't go to Cuba but I've had friends come back and say how wonderful Cuba is. My nephew studies fish and has said the same about diving in the Carribean on reefs and don't get him going about our fish stocks. Alas what a mess we're making of this planet we've woken up in.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a good vacation and hope you're well rested for the big Easter week.
Speaking of climate change

Very troubling.
