  1. Win? Why would a "peacemaker" appluad terms like "Win?" Winners implies losers. It really is such a twisted and distorted perception of both the man and the divine Jesus Christ. Instead of becoming immersed into the real world in order to wash feet, our Catholic clergy have fallen prey to a seductive force in the quest for power while they hide behind the security of the great walls of the church.

  2. Just wanted to emphacize a particular point from the comment above. We already know that Good Sheperds wash the feet of their flock. But they must first remove their clothes. That is what Jesus did. If a priest removed his collar and any other symbol that reveals his status before he begins to go about 'washing feet' , then that would in my opinion would be a priest who acts like Jesus Christ.

All good things must come to an end

Well, it's been a hell of a ride, laying rubber all over the road for the past decade. But it's time to call it a day and park the Rogue in the garage. Effective today, I am shutting down my blog to focus my attention on other endeavours. My thanks to the more than 2.7 million people who regularly joined me on these sojourns through news stories over the years that dealt with the places with issues of religion and faith intersecting with public affairs. May God bless you with a continuing desire to learn about and help disseminate the issues of faith throughout the public square. Happy trails in your continuing travels! Fr. Tim Moyle, p.p.
