Well, it's been a hell of a ride, laying rubber all over the road for the past decade. But it's time to call it a day and park the Rogue in the garage. Effective today, I am shutting down my blog to focus my attention on other endeavours. My thanks to the more than 2.7 million people who regularly joined me on these sojourns through news stories over the years that dealt with the places with issues of religion and faith intersecting with public affairs. These are the like of questions and commentaries that reveal such strange notions of God and is truly the nonsense from where atheism rises. What reasonable minded grown-up can possibly assent to any belief in such a ridiculous god as this?

ReplyDeleteThere's a reasonable chance that within the next 100 years if civilization endures we will be able to create a computer with self aware intelligence. If that happens, what would be the reaction if the most important thing the computer scientists did was to make sure the computer worshiped and praised it.
Can you imagine the computer Psalmist exclaiming "I will extol You, my Programmer, O King, and I will bless Your code forever and ever. Every day I will bless You, and I will praise Your code forever and ever. Great is the Programmer, and highly to be praised, and His greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise Your code to another, and shall declare Your mighty subroutines"? with apologies to Psalm 145
