  1. He had a lot of friends show up for prayers at the Cathedral tonight for sure.

  2. Larry: It was a tribute to the man that virtually all of the priests and a cathedral full of former parishioners and friends were there to participate at his funeral today. Fr. Dobec captured the essence of Pat with his homily as well. He spoke for all the priests when he said before the mass that if Fr. Pat Tait doesn't make it into heaven, there's little or no hope for the rest of us. Nothing I heard since his passing was truer than that!

  3. I'm happy to hear that the respectability and respectfulness of this man...this priest was honored with such an overwhelming attendance of brother priests, friends and parishioners. A fitting tribute indeed to such a noble human being.

All good things must come to an end

Well, it's been a hell of a ride, laying rubber all over the road for the past decade. But it's time to call it a day and park the Rogue in the garage. Effective today, I am shutting down my blog to focus my attention on other endeavours. My thanks to the more than 2.7 million people who regularly joined me on these sojourns through news stories over the years that dealt with the places with issues of religion and faith intersecting with public affairs. May God bless you with a continuing desire to learn about and help disseminate the issues of faith throughout the public square. Happy trails in your continuing travels! Fr. Tim Moyle, p.p.
