Well, it's been a hell of a ride, laying rubber all over the road for the past decade. But it's time to call it a day and park the Rogue in the garage. Effective today, I am shutting down my blog to focus my attention on other endeavours. My thanks to the more than 2.7 million people who regularly joined me on these sojourns through news stories over the years that dealt with the places with issues of religion and faith intersecting with public affairs. May God bless you with a continuing desire to learn about and help disseminate the issues of faith throughout the public square. Happy trails in your continuing travels! Fr. Tim Moyle, p.p. Diocese of Pembroke
Reflections from the pastoral ministry of an Evangelical Catholic Priest.
How, in the Name of all that is Holy, does this rant find its way into the blog of a Catholic Priest?
ReplyDeleteIs someone in the Pembroke Diocese now becoming emboldened to come out also?
Weird begets weird!
Oskar: It would seem that we didn't wazch the same video. The one I watched showed a sports commentator espousing a very Catholic position that refuses to reduce a person down to their sexuality. If one holds to othodox Catholic teaching (sexuality is part of person; sex belongs between married couples - therefore no relevance to football) then there's nothing to take offense at. It's no different than the essence of Pope Francis's answer to this same issue.
ReplyDeleteMay I ask what it was that you saw in it that leads you to cast aspirsions or malicious inuendo n my direction? I do not ask this as a rhetorical question. I'm really curious and puzzled by what offends you so deeply about this video. I hope you will reply further.
