  1. You may want to looked at "Fifteen Dogs" by Andre Alexis, a Giller Award winner about dogs, gods (Apollo, Hermes, Zeus) and a commentary on the human condition . Set in Toronto, it ends just steps from my home. And it has dog poetry in it.

    1. Michael: Thanks for the recommendation. I've just purchased it for my Kindle (had to buy it off the US site since it's not available as an ebook in Canada - weird eh?). I'll add it to my list of winter reading books.

    2. Parts of it are quite sad (for a person who like dogs as I know you are) but by the author getting into the minds of dogs it is an interesting commentary on the human condition. I finished reading it Sunday night in front of a blazing fire on the first really cold night of the year with our new rescue dog on my lap wondering if this is how this dog thinks.

All good things must come to an end

Well, it's been a hell of a ride, laying rubber all over the road for the past decade. But it's time to call it a day and park the Rogue in the garage. Effective today, I am shutting down my blog to focus my attention on other endeavours. My thanks to the more than 2.7 million people who regularly joined me on these sojourns through news stories over the years that dealt with the places with issues of religion and faith intersecting with public affairs. May God bless you with a continuing desire to learn about and help disseminate the issues of faith throughout the public square. Happy trails in your continuing travels! Fr. Tim Moyle, p.p.
