Reflections from the pastoral ministry of an Evangelical Catholic Priest.
Stop it pigs.
ReplyDeleteThere is a living pig in the church that promotes and produces pedophilia and the pigs continue to defend themselves. Shut up pigs!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThats a lot of evil pork your serving up there Larry.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous why do you hide? What's your real name? Father Daniel Miller? Or are you one of those pigs still waiting for the day your victims come to get you? Perhaps you would be better off to choke on any 'pork' served down to you!
ReplyDeleteBTW ANONYMOUS did I mention the fact that you are spineless coward and your fiendish sense of humor is obviously right in line with your true character even though you have most people who know you - without the anonymous handle - fooled into thinking you are such wonderful character.
ReplyDeleteWhy do I hide?
ReplyDeleteFrankly your posts make you sound slightly imbalanced and capable of great violence. Your wild fantasy posting of my true identity and character was about as far from reality as one could get. Maybe you were victimized yourself and its tainted your ability to be reasonable regarding this subject?
I don't know you personally so there is no telling what you're capable of. I hope I'm reading you wrong but that is certainly what you're projecting in your posts. If I were a Catholic clergy, your vitriol would have me worried for my personal safety.
Back to the article in question. Your anti-catholic tunnel vision seems to blind you to the prevalence of abuse in other religions and institutions (ie. your flat our dismissal of this article). Either your rage has blinded you or you frankly don't care if someone is sexually abused by anyone other than a Catholic Priest. Hate for the church seems to be your prime motivator, not so much the abuse of children. For instance of all girls raised with a stepfather, studies have shown that 17% are sexually abused by them. The scope of that abuse makes the catholic clergy abuse look insignificant by comparison. Haven't heard a peep from you about those stepfather "pigs"? The mainstream media, thats never seen a Catholic scandal it didn't like, seems mum on that fact as well. Of course it wouldn't be fair to label all step fathers as pigs, wouldn't you agree?
The abuse that was committed disgusts me as well. Lets root out the abusers and bring them to justice for sure and screen out the high risk demographics from entering the priesthood, but lets not ignore the plight of the vast majority of the sexually abused victimized by predators because they don't wear a Roman collar. Lets us also be fair and not label every priest a "pig" when they are statistically no greater a risk than the general population. By your standard, that pig label could tar just about every demographic and institution.
Anonymous you sound strikingly similar to the sound of the pedophile catholic priests and their clerical protectors/enablers. I suggest to you that if my posts make you feel like The Rational One and the holy One , you keep reading them over and over until the truth about yourself begins to emerge.
ReplyDeleteSorry Larry, I don't have your anti-catholic glasses to see what you see, so your imagined pedophile isn't going to emerge from reading my posts. Your insistence that Im either a pedophile or an enabler shows your irrational side yet again. I do recall saying the abuse is disgusting and it should be weeded out and people brought to justice. Better screening. You must have passed over that line or your glassed fogged over. Or you're simply fabricating your own reality to justify your hatred.
ReplyDeleteAs a Christian, we are to make righteous judgement. Yes we have had some wolves among the sheep, but do you think labelling EVERY Catholic clergy a pig and a pedophile is anything close to that?
Anon: Has Larry labelled all priests as pigs and pedophiles? My opinion is that he's referring to predators and their enablers. I know for a fact that he has no problem with priests who preach the word and live their lives in accordance with their convictions and beliefs. Try to get past the anger of his post and see that he is actually saying something important - even if we don't always want to hear or see it.

Anon: Has Larry labelled all priests as pigs and pedophiles?
ReplyDelete"nobody cares for and covers more for pedophiles than the pedophile sanctuary of the Catholic church"
Lets just say he paints with a pretty broad brush.
I've expressed that I share that disgust and desire for justice but anyone with a fair and fact based view of child abuse can see that the Catholic Church comes under disproportionate criticism and media attention to the point where people look at a priest like yourself and assume you're a pedophile. I hear it all the time almost to the point where they think the Catholic Church owns pedophilia. How many step dad pedophile comments or jokes have you heard yet 17% of children that have one experience sexual abuse? I've heard hundreds of priest=pedophile jokes and comments. This has shaped the public perception of the church and contributed greatly to the empty pews you see today. The Church should not overlook or justify the problem but has every right to expose this media bias which is mostly perpetrated by her enemies. Labelling anyone that points out this imbalance and injustice as a pig and a pedophile or enabler simply reflects a lack of the knowledge regarding sex abuse or a willful attempt to attack Christ's Church.
