Ontario Catholic schools' taxpayer funding facing legal challenge from Reva Landau | News | National Post
This could get interesting, although I'm fairly certain that this challenge, like those before it, will fail. Still, when you're dealing with the courts interpreting the Charter, one can never be absolutely certain of anything.
Ontario Catholic schools' taxpayer funding facing legal challenge from Reva Landau | News | National Post

Here hoping it doesn't fail! Good luck Reva.
ReplyDeleteHow about a class action suit against every Catholic Board on behalf of every student who was denied their right to exemption from religion classes upon request? How valuable is 25 years of forced religion classes because of lies told to students who simply requested the exemption the Education Act afforded them.
ReplyDeleteIf people want a truly equatable education system where they can send their children to receive the education they desire, a voucher system is the way to go with privatization of all public schools. Maybe then people will stop whining. Public school is becoming as offensive to many religious families as religious schools are to many pagan ones.
ReplyDeleteReva is bravely articulating what many Ontarians have been thinking for some time. All religions should be considered equal and we must support authentic separation of "church and state" (or religion and government/ religion and education/ religion and law).
