A St. Patrick's Day gift from a beautiful Irish lady

Sylvia MacEacheran of 'Sylvia's Site' is a woman who has dedicated her free time to shedding the antiseptic light of truth on the sordid accounts of child sexual abuse within the Catholic Church and standing in support of its many victims. She is also a daughter of that beautiful green Island we celebrate today on St. Patrick's Day, a place that animates her soul with the determination and poetry we associate with that fair Isle. Here below is what she offered today on her site that demonstrates the beauty of her Irish Catholic soul. May you find it as comforting and inspiring as I do.

Thank you, Sylvia for your work on behalf of the wounded, for your efforts to promote the purification of the Church you love, and for the gentle steadfastness of your Irish soul. Happy St. Patrick's Day.

All good things must come to an end

Well, it's been a hell of a ride, laying rubber all over the road for the past decade. But it's time to call it a day and park the Rogue in the garage. Effective today, I am shutting down my blog to focus my attention on other endeavours. My thanks to the more than 2.7 million people who regularly joined me on these sojourns through news stories over the years that dealt with the places with issues of religion and faith intersecting with public affairs. May God bless you with a continuing desire to learn about and help disseminate the issues of faith throughout the public square. Happy trails in your continuing travels! Fr. Tim Moyle, p.p.
