  1. I find it also quiet interesting that the liberal press had given Obama a pass on the question of whether he should or should not visit the flood weary areas of Louisana. Obama's apologists in the press (most of them are) indicated that the prospect of a presidential visit would be a great distraction to the area given the need for security and the movemebt of vehicles. Those affected by the terrible floods did not need this distraction.

This reason was the VERY SAME REASON why President Bush did not wish to hamper an already dire situation during the after effects of Hurricane Katrina. Of course the liberal press vilified him for his ineptitude and 'tone-deafness'. Amazing!

All good things must come to an end

Well, it's been a hell of a ride, laying rubber all over the road for the past decade. But it's time to call it a day and park the Rogue in the garage. Effective today, I am shutting down my blog to focus my attention on other endeavours. My thanks to the more than 2.7 million people who regularly joined me on these sojourns through news stories over the years that dealt with the places with issues of religion and faith intersecting with public affairs. May God bless you with a continuing desire to learn about and help disseminate the issues of faith throughout the public square. Happy trails in your continuing travels! Fr. Tim Moyle, p.p.
