Einstein quote in support of the Catholic Church during the rise of Nazism in Germany

  1. That quote has a somewhat questionable provenence.

    Time magazine quoted it but without sources in 1940 and it probably was an elaboration of a private statement Einstein made about how some churchmen opposed the Nazis.

    1. Michael: It still is a valid quote unless you think that Einstein lied when he spoke with churchmen.
