3 Surprising Things About Divine Mercy Sunday - Aleteia

  1. Yes, Divine Mercy Sunday, the second Sunday after Easter is to be celebrated by the whole Church.
Unfortunately, not all Bishops, and certainly not all Priests accept that fact.
I know of 2 Priests who, upon taking over as Pastor in a Parish where the Divine Mercy Picture was on the wall, told staff to get rid of that *stupid picture* At same time, one of those 2 Priests ordered a Pro-_Life sign to be removed from Church property. Both were reported to their Bishops, and nothing was done about it that we are aware of to this day.
