Perhaps he would say "Old wine in new wine skins" The teachings have not changed one bit, just the outwards approach. I don't mean this as derogatory, but I have many friends who now expect the Pope to change the Church's view on many controversial issues. I tell them not only that he won't but he can't change doctrine.
